Delhi University (DU) for the very first time is organising an Open Day Session to listen the grievances of girls related to queries for admission and courses in the university. The session is to be organised on 8th June (Saturday), 2019.

The notification has been confirmed by the Dean of Student’s Welfare, Rajeev Gupta.

Panelists

  • Payal Mago, Principal of Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women
  • Pratyush Vatsala, Principal of Lakshmibai College, a representative of Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB)

The NCWEB enables women, who cannot join regular college for various reasons, to attend classes during Saturdays/Sundays and during academic breaks to obtain undergraduate (UG) and Post-Graduate (PG) degrees from DU.

It facilitates the female students of Delhi to take DU exams with special coaching once a week without attending the regular classes.

According to the statements of the officials, Delhi University offers various courses only for the female candidates and there are varied colleges separately for females that come under DU- Lady Shri Ram College, Kamala Nehru College, Miranda House, Daulat Ram College, Bharati College, Lakshmibai College, Maitreyi College, Jesus and Mary College, Aditi Mahavidyalaya and Lakshmibai College.

The first Open Day Session was organised on May 30th by the University at Conference Centre North Campus of Delhi University, it was followed by second on June 3rd and the third is being organised specially for the female students.
