DUTA reports that a large number of teachers belonging to SC/ST/OBC community are held in danger due to delay in formulating the bill of implementing 200 point university wise recruitment.

They claimed that they have been observing lack of permanent appointments in the university since last decade. During their agitation, they are demanding one -time bill for absorbing all temporary teachers.

Speaking of the schemes implemented by the government such as tripartite MoU and autonomous colleges, they claimed that the government is constantly trying to privatize higher education and Delhi University and affiliated colleges along with it. The Association is observed to be opposing these schemes. The scheme of privatizing higher education leads to convert the grant-based economy to loan-based economy.

The DUTA demands removal of Vice-Chancellor due to his misgovernance, they say. They demanded the responsible intervention of the HRD ministry for the issues to be resolved as soon as possible. With the failure of demands, they are observed to be threatening the university to further intensify the protest.

They also complained about the intervention of police during the agitation and were obstructing the march towards the Parliament.
