The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the E-pareeksha portal for uploading of finalized marks of class 10 students in 2021. The affiliated schools are instructed to submit the scores granted by them to the students in the view of cancellation of Class 10 board exams 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The portal can be accessed through the official website of CBSE cbse.gov.in.

The portal will be closed for the schools on 11th of June and the board will not allow schools to edit or modify the updated information and thus the schools are told to complete this process carefully. The schools have to login on the portal using the login credential provided to them earlier.

The schools have to finalize their results by May 25 and can submit it till 5th June. The board has decided to release the results for class 10 by 20th June using this data.

According to the marking scheme of the assessment criteria previously released by the board;

  • The evaluation of a student will be done out of 100 maximum marks for each subject.
  • 40 marks will be from Pre-Board examinations
  • 30 marks will be granted from mid-term exams
  • 10 marks will be on the basis of all unit tests conducted by the schools
  • Rest 20 marks will be granted internally by schools.

The Board has clarified that the schools has to submit a cumulative score of all Pre-board examinations and unit test. Which means an average of marks from all exams and test will be added in the final results as a single score for a subject irrespective of how many pre-boards or unit test a school has conducted throughout the year.

CBSE has also warned all the affiliated schools that if any institute is found to be using unfair practices or means would have to face strict legal action. As a second opportunity to the students, schools will be allowed to conduct objective based re-exams via online or offline mode after declaration of results.
