The faculty members of architecture of Sarvajanik College Of Engineering and Technology (SECT) will be given training and grant by The European Union (EU).

The EU will grant 500,000 Euros under its programme of capacity building in higher education is expected to help  SECT set up a knowledge hub for the trained personnel within next two years.

Percy Engineer, principal of faculty of architecture, SECT will given the training first among all the faculty members of architecture who will receive the training.

He said, “This will mark the beginning of internationalization of education in India.Our students will able to stand equally with the international students. The knowledge hub will help out faculty training programmes, joint exchange programmes and joint studies. The grant will be used for the benefit of the students and institutions in other cities of the country as well.”

The grant will also take care of lodging and boarding expenses of the staffs, their equipments and cost of subcontracting among other things.

The EU had started this project named KA2- cooperation for innovation & exchange of good practices building in higher educations with an aim to upgrade level of education in the institutes across the world.
