Exams Will Be Held As Per Schedule: JNU Vice Chancellor

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Students protest against the hostel fee hike is not seeing light in the darkness yet. They are on an indefinite protest and boycotted the end-term semester examination to make the Administration and Government of India fulfill their demands. But JNU administration is as rigid as its students, JNU Vice-Chancellor has announced despite students boycotting the semester exams, they will not postpone the exams.

JNU Vice-chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar on Thursday said the exams will be held as per the schedule despite the boycott by the students against the Hostel fee hike. He further said the interest of bonafide students is our top priority who are interested in giving the examination.

He further said any student is welcome for a dialogue with the JNU administration even those students who are on the protests.

The protest is taking a toll on the education system of India as students from across the country are coming forward in support of JNU students. Currently, IIMC Journalism students are protesting against the 10% tuition fee hike, which was backed by 120 Alumni who wrote to the Ministry of I&B criticizing the 100% fee hike.
