All exams which were scheduled to be held on September 9, 10, and 11, 2020 by the University of Jammu have been postponed. On the above-mentioned dates, the main campus of the varsity has been closed because of which the decision was taken . On September 8, 2020 University of Jammu on Tuesday, in this regard the varsity has released a new notification. Soon, the new dates shall be released.
For holding the postponed exams separately, the varsity informed that the fresh dates would be releasing. Since there are cases of COVID positive people on the campus it has been informed that , for the next 3 days the college shall remain close .
According to the notification which was released on the website of the university, it stated ” For three days i.e. w.e.f. 9th to 11th September 2020, the Main Campus of the University shall remain closed. Further it was notified that all the examinations of the University of Jammu slated to be held on the aforesaid dates has been postponed. Separately, fresh dates for holding such postponed examinations shall be notified.”
As the Supreme Court had ordered no students shall be given the degrees without appearing in the exams which led to the decision of conducting the exams. According to the guidelines of the UGC s and academic calendar by September 30, 2020 all the exams thus are to be conducted . In case they are unable to follow the calendar and the dates decided by it, the varsities can approach the University Grants Commission .
