The university of allahabad has decided to grant promotion to the students of undergraduate second year and Postgraduate intermediate semesters to next Class or semester without examination. Also for the final year students of UG programme, the results will be prepared on the basis of performance in previous years.
Although, The university will conduct exams for students of UG first year and PG first and final semester in July-August 2021 after analysing the prevailing situations around the pandemic. The university has decided to issue results of promoted students by the end of may, 2021.
Earlier, the university has already released new examination schedule for second examination and ex-student examinations of BCA, MCA and PGDCA courses.
This examinations will begin from May 15 and end up on May 22. The exams will be conducted via online mode and results for the same will be declared by May 30.
Promotion Guidelines by Allahabad University
The University has already released the detailed guidelines regarding promotion of students and preparation of the results through a notice to all the affiliated colleges. The guidelines mentioned following rules:
- 7% increment in the scores of each paper from first year for regular students of second year.
- In case of BA and B.Sc. for ex-students, second year marks with 7% increment in each paper.
- For B.com. and B.Sc. Home science courses, average marks from UG first and second year with 7% increment in each paper.
- An average of two papers will be awarded as score of third paper in any subject for UG third year.
- The highest marks awarded would -2 of maximum marks while lowest marks awarded will be passing marks .
- Marks for practical exams, Viva, training or internships will be provided by the respective departments.
