The Uttar Pradesh Government has appealed to the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) for banning all strikes to be conducted by state-universities and affiliated colleges till June 2019.
According to the official notification released by the government, they have ordered the state-universities and affiliated colleges under the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) to not conduct any strikes before June 5, 2019.
The ban has been issued in public interest, the notification said.
