Gujarat govt cancels recruitment exam after ‘paper leak’ protests

Students prepare for government jobs for years and wait eagerly to give their examinations but when the papers get leaked they feel cheated. Time and again such incidents have happened in different government examinations where just before, someone hijacks the paper. One such incident happened in Gujarat where the paper got leaked and resulted in being canceled by the government.

The Gujarat government led by Vijay Rupani has to cancel Bin Sachivalay Clerk and Office Assistant (Office 3) Exam which was held on Tuesday, November 17th. The cancellation happened after the investigation showed the paper had been leaked through CCTV footage where students were seen using cellphones.

Pradeepsinh Jadeja, Gujarat Home Miniter, said on Monday, “The SIT (Special Investigation Team) had submitted its report today in the given stipulated time of 10 days, stating that primarily it has come to the conclusion that the paper got leaked.”

He said to ensure no injustice happens to the hard work done by students, we have decided to cancel the exams keeping in mind, the CCTV footage which showed cellphones being used during the exams. Strict actions will be taken against the applicants who were found using unfair means during the exams like being barred for 3 years from giving exams.
