According to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur, the Government has decided to reduce the bond money reserved for the MBBS pursuing higher education from ₹10 lakh to ₹5 lakh. Listening to this, the doctors pursuing medicine in the state medical colleges have started protesting against the movement.

This movement was addressed by the CM while the ongoing budget session in the state assembly on Tuesday. He was replying to a question asked by Asha Kumari of the Congress regarding chemotherapy facilities when he made this movement come to awareness to the people attending the assembly.

Another question asked by Mrs. Kumari was answered by the Health Minister Vipin Parmar where he mentioned adequate steps were being taken to strengthen treatment facilities for cancer patients in the state.

The MLA Rakesh Pathania was also asked to confirm when the chemotherapy facilities would be made available to the cancer patients.
