Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, the Union Human Resource Development has e-launched VidyaDaan 2.0 program inviting all the contributors to share their quality content digitally for all the students of the school and higher education level so that they are able to utilize their time in best way. Under this platform, people can feel free  to contribute different variety of e-learning content which can be in any form such as explanatory videos, animations, teaching videos, lesson plans, assessments and question banks in the given format. Before uploading the content, the content would go through a proper scanning done by the panel members of academic experts and released for use on the DIKSHA app.

HRD said in one of the official statement that the program has been launched keeping in view of the increasing need for e-learning content for students of school as well as higher education, especially in the backdrop of the situation arising out of COVID- 19. This also has been launched because of the urgent requirement to integrate digital education with schooling to augment learning.

Pokhriyal briefed people about the app stating that VidyaDaan is  totally conceptualised as a common national program for all of the individuals and organisations across the country to donate/contribute e-learning resources for the students of both school as well as higher education to ensure continuity of quality learning even during this tough situation. He said that every content which would be uploaded will be used on the DIKSHA app which can help out millions of children who are in any corner of the world to continue with their learning anytime and anywhere.

Pokhriyal also stated that VidyaDaan has been made with a content contribution tool which provides a structured interface for  all of the contributors who want to register and contribute the different types of content for learning of any grade, for any of the subject as needed by the states or UTs. The Minister said that VidyaDaan program shall soon be inviting all of the contributions on the interface for teacher training material.
