Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) conducted its exam for its MBA (International Business) six trimester general management program on Sunday. The test was conducted across various centers in the country between 10 am and 12 noon.

Differential marking continued to be there and the penalty for every incorrect answer was 1/3rd of the total marks assigned to the question. The paper was quite lengthy and the questions were also tricky. In the Reading Comprehension section, the number of passages increased from 4 to 5. The total number of questions was same at 114.

According to experts, Data Interpretation was the easiest section as compared to last year. ‘In comparison to last year’s question paper Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasoning were more difficult. General Awareness had the same difficulty level. Over all, cut-off is expected to go down by 5-6 marks. Cut-offs for General should be around 29-31 and 25 for OBC, SC and ST, reported NDTV.

The entrance exam consisted of questions from English Grammar, Vocabulary and Comprehension, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis.

The exam was of 2 hours duration and was conducted at Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.

After the written test candidates who qualify will be called for Writing Skills Assessment, Group Discussion and Interview to be held in January/ February 2018 at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.
