The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade has emerged out to be the first and the fastest B-School to complete placements for the batch of 2017-19 keeping intact the 100% placement record with the highest Salary reaching up to ₹1 crore.

The Institute completed the Placements 2017-19 for a large batch of 279 students, with an average salary reaching up to ₹20.07 lakhs.

“The quality of our students, the academic rigor and the premium we place on cultivating relationships with our recruiters are the reasons behind this continued success,” Prof. Manoj Pant, Director, IIFT said.

The highest salary offered overall crossed Rs. 1 crore with several students receiving compensations of over Rs. 75 LPA, the statement added.

The large Batch size of 279 students was quickly recruited by over 98 leading recruiters from India and abroad.

One of the key features of this year placements 2019 at IIFT, is that earlier the final placements at this institute used to be completed in the months of February/March and this is probably the first time that the final placements 2019 are over in December 2018.

The placement season was lead by 93 Pre Placement Offers offered by major recruiters such as, Airtel, Amazon, Axis Bank, Bajaj Auto, Bain Capability Network, Britannia, Citibank, GE, GEP, Godrej, Goldman Sachs, HP, HT Media, IVP, ICICI, Infoedge, ITC, JPMC, KPMG, Louis Dreyfus, Maersk Line, Marico, OfBusiness, Piramal, PPG Asian Paints, Royal Enfield, RPG, Shell, Synergy Consulting, Tata Metalliks, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Wipro Technologies and Yes Bank.

Among the 32 first time recruiters were DE Shaw Group, Field Fresh Foods, Lenskart, Paytm, Roland Berger, Tata Global Beverages, Tresvista Financial Services, and Zomato.

IIFT outdid itself in its field of Trade and International business with recruiters like African industries Group, ADM, Aegis Resources, Export Trading Group, Olam International, Tolaram, Trafigura,  participating in the recruitment process and offering positions across Africa, Middle East, and South-East Asia.

In the Finance domain, the recruiters included Citi Bank, CRISIL, DE Shaw Group, Epik InDiFi, HomeCredit, HSBC, ICICI Bank, Indus Valley Partners, JPMC, L&T, Rivigo, Samunnati Finance, Syngenta AG, Tata Motors, Tresvista Financial Services and Yes Bank offered roles across Financial Operations, Investment Banking, Credit Risk Analysis, Corporate Finance, FinTech, etc.

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has concluded Placement 2018 with 55% more international offers.

35 companies were the first time recruiters at IIFT. These recruiters included prominent brands like Avendus Capital, BMW, CP group, Deloitte USI (S&O) EXL, PepsiCo, Tech Mahindra, YES Bank amongst others.
