The Indraprasth Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi is all set to launch a Postgraduate Diploma programme in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science from the upcoming session 2021-22.
IIIT Delhi has collaborated with ‘Great Learning’, an EdTech company for higher and professional education, to offer this programme for interested students via online mode.
The duration of this diploma programme is 12 months. The classes under this programme are schedule in such a way that it is convenient for both regular students as well as working professionals.
The programme is planned to deliver educational content via live teaching-learning sessions, virtual tutorials, online demonstrations, recorded lectures, interactive sessions with industry experts and projects.
Under the Data science curriculum, the students will be introduced to python programming, data structures, data algorithms, design and analysis of algorithms, and databases.
While the AI curriculum will help the learners to explore concepts of modern AI techniques such as deep machine learning and advanced machine learning algorithms along with their practical applications.
The learners will also get to know about the capstone project. This project will help to collect insights from the available data and develop AI-Based solutions to address the challenges in technology-driven world.
Prof. Ranjan Bose, the Director of IIIT-Delhi, said that the institute via this programme aims to upskill the learners with advanced and practical knowledge which is applicable in data-driven industry.
IIIT Delhi’s collaboration with Great learning company will provide the essential resources to students and working professionals for better accessibility and new opportunities, Prof. Bose added.
The student enrolled under this programme will receive a PG diploma certificate from IIIT Delhi on successful completion of the course. IIIT Delhi will also grant an alumni status to all the students of this programme.
While Great Learning will offer free career support for the diploma students via its career assistance platform named as GL Excelerate.
