A team of three studying MBA in Indian Institute of Management, Banglore of 2018-20 batch namely Jinit Dharia, Mit Parekh, and Yash Parekh was reported to have won the national finals of ‘The Ultimate Pitch 4.0’, a competition which was organized by Reliance Industries Limited. The competition was a strategic elevator pitch contest which was organized to promote innovative creativity and motivate entrepreneurship skills among students.

“Our idea was to develop a biodegradable protective packaging material. This will provide a substitute to styrofoam-based packaging,” says Yash.

The team won a cash award of Rs 4.5 lakh which includes Rs 50,000 for winning the campus round, headed or adjudged by the Reliance Jio GenNext Hub along with the interaction with Reliance chairman’s office, pre-placement interview and a trip to the refinery at Jamnagar.

Over 55 B-schools around the country participated against each other, along with  2,239 teams comprising 6,117 students. The competition involved two stages namely regional round and national finals. The regional involved creating a video for submission and presentation, along with Question and Answer round for three minutes.

At last, 23 teams were shortlisted for the final round which held at Mumbai on February 14, and 15, 2019. The Final round involved three-minute video presentation and a four-minute Q&A round. The teams were adjudged on the basis of viability, feasibility, & desirability, along with Sustainability.
