The Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta has announced programmes on FinTech (financial technology) and Financial Blockchain for students specializing in Finance. The Program involves imparting information about Financial Technology and its effects on banking and financial ecosystem. Also, the course involves imparting information about how to use FinTech and design it and develop strategies for the organization. The Program is introduced in collaboration with TalentSprint to commence from May 2019.

The curriculum of the program involves lectures to be delivered in hybrid executive format along with conduction of visits to IIM Calcutta campus and online sessions through the TalentSprint digital platform.

Indranil Bose, one of the programme directors, said, “A vast majority of firms in the banking and financial sector believe that the lack of adequate FinTech talent is an existential threat to their future. We plan to equip and enable 2000 FinTech professionals in the next few years.”

For being eligible to pursue this programme the candidate must hold a graduate or a postgraduate degree in any field with a score not less than 50% along with two years of experience.
