In India, there are 13 IIMs out of which till now, only IIM Calcutta was the triple-accredited business school. But now we have a fresh entry and second IIM to have received the triple-accreditation – IIM Indore. It has been awarded the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) by EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development), an international catalyst that nurtures and strengthens management institutions.
IIM Indore is the sixth wing of the Management Institutions in India. It has received the triple crown in all prominent accreditation on December 10th, 2019 – Association of MBAs (AMBA, UK); EQUIS, European Union and Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB, USA). The triple accreditation has been received by only 90 business schools globally and 40 Business schools in Asia.
IIM (Indian Institute of Management), an independent body that offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in the field of management and research.
“The EQUIS accreditation and Triple Crown will grant us the most favorable institutions by the students across the world. Business schools across the world will be looking at us for management, business and research courses and programs we offer,” Himanshu Rai, IIM Indore director.
The triple crown accreditation is held by less than 1% of business schools across the globe by only 33 countries.
