The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has announced that it is going to conduct a leadership development programme free-of-cost for selected 100 doctors.

This will be a virtual programme conducted via online mode by the institute. It is especially designed for those doctors who are serving as frontline workers During the times of pandemic.

IIM Indore has released all the details regarding this programme on its official website, http://iimidr.ac.in.The leadership development programme is scheduled to begin on July 31, 2021.

The initiative for this programme was launched on the occasion of National Doctors Day on July 1 as an honour to all the medical practitioners. IIM Indore informed about this programme via its official twitter handle.

Professor Himanshu Rai, the director of IIM Indore, regarding the initiative said that the programme is named as ‘Kritagya’. The duration for the programme will be of 70 hours for 100 doctors shortlisted by IIT-I.

He added that we, at IIT Indore, always wished to express our gratitude towards the doctors working amid COVID-19. This programme is a part of our social responsibility towards them and the public.

IIM indore will remain forever grateful to all the frontline workers for their unstinted dedication and selfless actions amid the COVID-19 pandemic, risking their own life in order to serve the society.

As informed by the Director, the regular cost for this programme will be around Rs. 1.5 Lakh per participant. This sums up to Rs. 1.5 Crore for 100 doctors. However, IIT Indore will cover all the costs itself as an national contribution.

The programme is designed as a short-term certificate course competent for doctors. The curriculum consists of basic skills like leadership, negotiation, effective communication skills and conflict management.

While as the programme will proceed further, the participants will be explained about concepts like modern technology in healthcare, service operations and financial management.
