The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has announced to offer a new executive MBA (Masters in Business Administration) programme in postgraduation discipline from the upcoming session.

The programme is especially designed for working professionals who have prior experience in industry. The course will be offered in a blended mode by the institute for all the candidates.

The application window for this programme is open till 31st July. Interested candidate can visit the official website of IIT Jammu, http://iimj.ac.in to enroll themselves for the MBA programme.

IIT Jammu has designed the programme in such a way that the working professional can pursue an MBA degree alongwith continuing their jobs and without losing their employment.

The institute will accept working personals from corporate sector, industries, government organisation, NGOs, armed forces and startups with a minimum work experience of three or more years.

To be eligible for this programme, the candidate must hold a bachelors degree in business, management or any relevant curriculum from an recognized university with atleast 50 percent marks.

While the minimum eligibility marks in bachelors degree for candidates from ST, SC and PwD categories is 45 percent. Candidates with professional qualifications like CA, CS and ICWA would be preferred by IIT Jammu for this programme.

The executive MBA programme is spread over 6 semester during two years. The institute will offer learning in blended mode where both on-campus and online modules will be made available to students.

The first year will focus on fundamental and basic concepts of the programme. While as the course will proceed, the students will be introduced to an advanced curriculum.

In between each trimester of the programme, the students will be offered a one week campus visit for classroom discussions, practical learning and completion of on-campus modules.

The institute’s aim behind this programme is to equip professionals with such skills which can help the rapidly growing economy of our country to address the modern challenges in financial and management sector.
