The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur has joined hands with Japanese institute Chuo University, Graduate School of Strategic Management to join hands for research in  the field of management. The IIM stated that collaboration would also enhance the collaborative research on contemporary issues, faculty and student exchange between the two schools.

Recently, IIM Nagpur under the chairmanship of Prof Rahul Kumar Sett has set up a dedicated center of excellence named as the Indo-Japan Research Center. The focus are will be managerial and administrative issues in the cross cultural context as well as entrepreneurship.

Director of IIM-Nagpur, prof LS Murty has said in one of the official statement that the collaboration with top universities of Japan and the industry partners will provide great opportunities for academics and the university. Moreover, they are looking forward to develop something that is truly Asian in character but very much global in application.

Prof Rahul Kumar Sett who is the chairman of IJRC, IIM Nagpur stated that the collaboration will be beneficial for us in creating new knowledge and managerial know how different are the philosophies of India and Japan.

Established in the year 1885, Chuo University is one of the oldest university. CEOs and Chairpersons of the Suzuki Motor Corporation are among the list of alumni from the varsity.
