IIM Nagpur has completed the process for summer placements for the fourth batch of its Post Graduate Programme in Management. Though the intake was doubled this year, still IIM Nagpur managed to provide 100% placements by the second week of January. The highest stipend offered this year was ₹1.80 Lakh.

The Highlights of the placements showed:

  • 25% Rise in Median Stipend for Top Quartile
  • Median Stipend for Top Quartile being ₹1.5 lakh
  • 25% rise in the number of recruiters
  • An average stipend of ₹60,176

Speaking on the conclusion of the summer placements, Prof. Abhishek Totawar, Chairperson-Placements and External Relations at IIM Trichy said, “Despite a 67% increase in the batch size, this year witnessed an even better performance over the last year with every student getting a paid internship with better roles and stipends.”

Director, Dr. Prafulla Agnihotri said, “The result of Summer Placements with a 56% increase in the highest domestic stipend and once again the whole batch getting placed in professional companies all over India proves the quality of academic processes at IIM Trichy. I heartily congratulate the students of the first year as well as my colleagues in the Placement team for the meritorious results of Summer Placements.”

including many first time participants, from across sectors like FMCG, Analytics, IT Consulting, BFSI, Consumer Durables, Logistics, Media and Broadcasting, participated in the process. Prominent recruiters included VLCC, GroupM, Yes Bank, ICICI Lombard, BPCL, TATA Power, Blue Star, Sutherland Global, Capacloud, TVS, Mahindra Logistics, Gati, and Reliance Jio Studios, among many others. This year IIM Nagpur witnessed enthusiastic participation from the social sector as well. Notably, Tata Trusts and Teach for India participated in the recruitment process. Further, Nagpur, being considered as the logistics hub of the country, many logistics companies expressed a keen interest in fostering strong long-term relationships with IIM Nagpur.
