Despite of the Corona Virus pandemic, The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur has recorded 100 percent campus placement for MBA students with around 140 visiting companies this academic year. IIM claims to have 90 percent increment in the number of visiting recruiters and companies.

The highest package secured by a student is Rs. 26.4 LPA. The average CTC for top 25 percent students was around 14 LPA. The recruited candidates are hired at different posts in sales and marketing, consultation, analytics, financial management, E-commerce and many others.

IIM Sambalpur has also announced that it has also achieved 100 percent in the summer internship program held for the sixth batch of its MBA program (2020-22). Highest stipend offered by the visiting companies was Rs. 1.7 Lakh while the average stipend was around Rs. 56000.

The director of IIM Sambalpur, Professor Mahadeo Jaiswal on the achievement said that with the current market being aggressively dynamic, securing placements in renowned companies is a result of sheer dedication and hard work. Our students have received highly coveted job offers.

He congratulated the students and appreciated their endless efforts. He mentioned that such achievements increase the honour of the institute and we are proud to have alumni with such remarkable skills and capabilities. He remarked the blended coordination of teacher and students to be excellent.

Prof. Jaiswal also extended his sincere gratitude to the fellow recruiters for visiting the institute and offering a chance to their students. He further invited the companies again for nurturing the talents and mentoring the students in their career for a brighter future.

On the summer internship placements, the Placement chairperson of IIM Sambalpur, Prof. Diptiranjan Mahapatra said that the outcome is a pure result of the exceptional trust of recruiters on the institute.
