The Online Entrance Exam for securing admission to the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata is scheduled to be conducted in June. The exact date for the entrance test to commence will be announced soon. The entrance examination will be conducted for admission to seven Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati.

IISER IAT constitutes of several degree programmes. The Dual Degree that is offered through the Entrance Test is BS-MS (Dual Degree).
It is a five-year degree program for exceptionally talented science students who have passed 12th class. The different teaching ways include classroom learning, research and provide scope for multidisciplinary interactions. The Program consists of core courses in basic sciences and specialization in chosen subjects along with an MS research project. The training during the program enables students to pursue careers in academia, R&D institutes, and industries.
IISER Bhopal offers four year BS programmes in Economics and Engineering Sciences.
