IIT-Delhi roped in to conduct GATE 2020; website goes live at gate.iitd.ac.in

It has been announced that GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2020 will be held by the IIT-Delhi next year.

The announcement is done early but the information of GATE 2020 is not yet available on the website gate.iitd.ac.in. The site for the exam has already been set-up but it will be functional only from September this year.

The exam will be conducted as usually as it is conducted in February month of every year.

This year the GATE exam was conducted by IIT-Madras, which was conducted on February 2, 3, 9 and 10, whose result was also declared on March 15th.

The exam will be conducted on 24 subjects including- Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mathematical and Mechanical Engineering etc.

GATE

It is an examination that primarily tests the understanding of students in various engineering and science streams. GATE is conducted jointly by IIS (Indian Institute of Science) and 7 campuses of IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) namely in- Roorkee, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai and Mumbai.

The GATE score is eligible for the students likely to pursue their education in engineering or Science at Master or Doctoral level courses from IITs or IISs. The candidates, who qualify this exam are also eligible for various private and government jobs.
