Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad received 213 offers from 80 companies in the phase-I of campus placements for the session 2018-19. With comparison to last year placements which were 191 students placed in 68 companies, this year IIT Hyderabad saw huge progress.

IIT Hyderabad students have also accepted 17 pre-placement offers from companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Swiggy, etc. The Indian Space Research Institute also recruited two students from the campus.

A total of 418 students registered for the phase-I of placements held between December 1 and December 22, a press release said here.

Amit Acharya, acting faculty-in-charge of placements, IIT Hyderabad said “I am very happy to see that the demand for IITH students of all levels be it UG, PG or PhDs, are at its peak. So many students including the PhDs are getting offers from companies within the country as well as abroad. Many Japanese companies have shown their interest in our students and more than 10 Japanese companies visited the campus this year,”

The Top recruiters included TCS came with 15 offers, Mathworks with 12 offers and L&T Construction with 9 offers. The number of foreign offers has grown immensely this year from 8 offers last year (including all phases) to 22 in phase I only.
