The First batch for the offered scholarship programme, will allow 10 students for admission with the funds provided by IIT Kharagpur alumnus, US-based petrochemical industrialist Asoke Dey Sarkar. The first scholarship will be named under the industrialist Asoke Dey Sarkar International Program or ADSIP. This Program will bear all expenses that include students’ airfare, tuition fee, living expenses, local transportation as well as medical insurance.

“SAARC nations share a common heritage. We would like to know how students in neighboring countries are gearing up to face the new challenges, what new things they are learning, what solutions they are coming up with,” said Baidurya Bhattacharya, dean of international relations at IIT Kharagpur.

The candidates will be selected through video-interview and their formal application sent after reviewing the courses at the official website. After the admission process, a transcript will be provided to the students along with the syllabus and pedagogical details.
