Speaking at the BRICS education ministers’ meet in Beijing Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar said that “Education is a universal, apolitical agenda. It’s not negotiation, but cooperation all the way. So, increased cooperation in education is the need of the hour.”

Prakash Javadekar was in Beijing on Wednesday to attend the BRICS education minister’s, he also held meeting with his counterpart and discussed about the issues of education and climate change. He said that amid the amid the ongoing Sino-Indian standoff along Nathu La Pass in Sikkim, the discussions on education and climate change are serving as the confidence building measures among the nations.

He also mentioned that the basic right of education should be made available for all and that everyone should extend their cooperation to support the cause of providing quality education to all.

Javadekar thanked and expressed his appreciated for the creations of institutions like BRICS Network University and BRICS Think Tank Council, which will further help and support the cause of providing education to all.
