About School
The Dev Samaj was founded in 1887 by the most venerable Bhagwan Dev Atma. He always laid great stress on imparting education to women because he felt that by educating the girl child the whole family gets educated. Today there are around 26 Dev Samaj educations institutes for women. The Ishwar Singh Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School was established in 1957 in Sector-18 as High School. Firstly, it was recognized by Punjab Education Department and then it shifted to its own campus in Sector-21-C in 1959. The school is on grant-in-aid since 1967. In 1988, the school also added to the Senior Secondary classes. Then the school was only for girls but since 2006 Ishwar Singh Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School is running as co-educational institution and it is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary, New Delhi.
