Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Nagpur, Maharashtra, is going to introduce a course Aeronautical Structure and Equipment Fitter required for the aviation industry. The course will be run in partnership with Dassault Aviation an international French aircraft manufacturer of military.

The course will be a self-financed and run over three divisions. The coursework is approved at the recent bilateral meeting between India and France during which plans for several collaborations were sealed.

It is first time in history that an ITI is using a trade related to aviation has been introduced by the Directorate of General Training, Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India.

The course will be run in partnership with France-based Dassault Aviation and it will offer support through infrastructure required for the course. The French faculty will be engaged for practical and theory coursework and the joint venture will be reviewed after three academic years after that based on the report a decision on the future of the course will be taken.
