Jagdish Bhavsar, the former chairman of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation School Board, has been appointed as new Pro Vice-Chancellor of Gujarat University on Monday.
He has been appointed for a tenure of three years. Bhavsar was the vice-chairman of the municipal school board for 15 years. He was also asked on the position of director of H K Professional Center, Gujarat University which he currently handles. He said that University Vice-Chancellor Himanshu Pandya will decide whether he will hold or not. For the last 26 years, he practiced teaching economics at a grant-in-aid school in Ahmedabad. He was also elected Senate member for 20 years and was syndicate member for nine years. He was also a spokesperson representing BJP Government.
