On September 27, 2020, Jamia Entrance Exam 2020 has been announced by the Jamia Millia Islamia, JMI.
From October 10, 2020,the exams would commence. In the institute, for admissions to 126 undergraduate, postgraduate as well as the diploma programmes the entrance exam shall be connected.
Adding on to more information the university stated that “for entrance tests while in a normal situation, around 12,000 students could be accommodated , but this time not more than 4,000 candidates can sit at a time due to the coronavirus pandemic.”
The Jamia University is also in talks with the Kendriya Vidyalayas of Delhi so that they could also be used as exam centres. This would help the university to ensure all the social distancing norms are being followed. The varsity stated that “ In a couple of days, in Delhi the final figure of test centres will be finalized while in the prospectus centres outside Delhi are already mentioned ”.
According to the official notice which was released the varsity it has been informed that this year the students took into consideration the guidelines set by UGC to get the process of admission.
On October 10, 2020, some of the exams which shall be conducted are MA Early childhood development, MFA Painting, PG Diploma in Broadcast Technology, BFA applied arts, and MA Conflict analysis. On October 12, 2020, the MBA Exam would be conducted . On October 26, 2020, MA in mass communication would be the last exam to be conducted . From 9:00 am in the morning and in the afternoon from 2:30 pm, in two shifts the exam shall be held.
