The Jammu University has decided to have an MCQ based exams for the final years of undergraduates. Students will be marking the choices on the OMR sheet.

The Jammu University’s Controller of Examinations stated that the exams will be conducted when the covid situation I brought under control. Even after that, all the safety measures will be taken care of at the examination center. The circular issued notified that the syllabus will be based on the portions completed before and during the lockdown.

For the students in their 2nd and 4th semesters, the promotion will be assessed on 2 criteria. 50% of the marks will be taken from the internal examinations/assignments, and 50% of the marks will be graded from the performance of the previous semesters.

This method is applicable to all private colleges and students pursuing distant-education of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years. The university also asked the colleges to evaluate the internal exams (if not done) during the first 10 days of the next semester after lockdown.

This scheme was brought into action in consideration of various proposals by the people. also, this is a one-time exception to the students to relieve themselves from pandemic stress.
