The Ministry of Human Resource Department (MHRD) has extended the registration date of JEE Advanced 2019 for the students of Odisha. The delay have been done in consideration of aftermath conditions in Odisha in wake of Cyclone Fani.
The Chief Minster of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik earlier today urged Minister of Human Resource Development, Prakash Javedkar to extend the registration date of JEE Advanced in pursuit of less electricity and poor internet conditions in Odisha due to the cyclone hit.
Mr. Javedkar today extended the registration date till 14th May, 2019. It is to be noted that the date has only been extended for the Odisha students and for other region candidates the last registration date is still May 9th, 2019.
Prakash Javedkar while official declaration tweeted:
I am happy to announce that students from #Odisha appearing for #JEE (Advanced) 2019 will get an extension of 5 days till May 14 for their registration. A decision to this effect was taken following the request of #Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik @Naveen_Odisha .@PMOIndia @HRDMinistry

While IIT Bhubaneshwar has announced that it will help the JEE Advanced aspirants in Odisha for online registration as it has fully functional internet connection.
JEE Advanced 2019 is to be held on May 27, 2019 in all regions including Odisha. The exam will be held in two shifts- (Paper 1) 9:00 am-12:00 pm and (Paper 2) 22:00 pm-5:00 pm.
