The dates of JEE Advanced 2020 or IIT JEE  have been postponed. Instead of the earlier proposed date of September 23, 2020, now on September 27, 2020 the examination would be conducted for admission to various IITs  . It would be a computer based test examination and shall be held in two slots – morning and afternoon for B.Tech and B.Arch courses respectively. This year the JEE Advanced 2020,shall be held by the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Delhi.

Due to expected delay in the JEE Main 2020 result declaration, the dates have been revised . Tentatively, the new dates for JEE Main 2020 result has been scheduled at September 11, 2020. The revised schedule for JEE Advanced 2020 has been given below.

On 27 September, 2020 JEE Advanced shall be held in two slots, Paper I from 9:00 a.m to 12:00 and Paper II from 2:30 p.m to 5:30 p.m. On 5 October,2020 results of JEE Advanced shall be declared, and on 8 September Architecture Aptitude Test shall be held, on 11 October, 2020 declaration of AAT results will be done. From 6 October,2020 tentative start of seat allocation will start which will end on 9 November,2020.

All students who would be appearing for JEE Advanced 2020 are advised to keep a check on the official website jeeadv.ac.in. Latest information and updates regarding the examination and dates of various activities would be published online.

According to the schedule provided, by November 9, 2020 the process of seat allocation shall be completed . Due to delays caused by the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns this year, there has been delay in the process of admissions to IITs. After the seat allocation process is complete the classes in IITs are expected to begin . The classes would be online or offline still it has not been cleared.

The eligibility to appear for the IIT JEE entrance examination, is the students must qualify the JEE Main 2020 examination . This year, due to many board examinations getting cancelled, the criteria for minimum qualifying marks in Class 12 has been relaxed.
