JNU Vice Chancellor Meets Students Representatives, Teachers; No Headway

The JNU protest roar has been growing day by day with JNU Administration doing everything to stop those roars from penetrating their offices. Both the parties have been stubborn with their stand, JNU students with demands about revoking the hostel fee hike and JNU Administration saying, they are open for dialogue but when asked to fulfill the demands they duck and nudge away.

It happened when the JNU Vice Chancellor M Jagdesh Kumar on Thursday told the press that he won’t postpone the semester exams and is open to discussion with the students. But when JNU Student Representatives began the discussion with him he did not respond to their demands and left the meeting midway.

The students now demand other than revoking the hostel fee hike, the removal of VC Jagdesh Kumar from the post.

The demands of the JNU students’ are according to them the fight for safeguarding the education system in India and against education being practiced as a commodity. The move was supported by the students across the country, even the JNU Teachers’ association pitched in to support.

Amidst all this, the Education System of India is suffering from different protests emerging across the country.
