The government of kerala has decided that class 11 or Plus one exams will not be cancelled. This exams will be held compulsorily for all students in September. The State government has mentioned that results of class 11 are equally important as that of class 12 for admissions in higher education institutes of the state.

However, the government has already promoted Class 11 students to Class 12. The new academic session has also began for this students but still the government is going to hold exams. The students will now have to prepare for both class 12 and class 11 simultaneously. The exams for class 11 will be held in offline mode.

Although the government has made some relaxations in the rules of examination. The number of questions in each paper will be doubled with more internal choices. Students will be asked to attempt only half of the questions according to their choice. The duration of each paper will also be shortened and papers will be according to that.

A group of parents and teachers has reached the supreme court with their demands the cancellation of Class 11 exams in kerala. In the hearing previously held over this case, the state government said that we will ensure to organise exams in students-friendly manner. All the arrangements has been made for safe conduct of Plus one and plus two exams.

The state government is not in favour to cancel the exams and has presented its response to the honourable court. A final decision from the apex court can be expected soon over this. The Court may allow the government to hold exams with changes in the regulations and with following all the COVID safety protocols.

The Kerala government has already released a schedule for Class 11 exams. The Plus one exams as per the schedule will be held from september 6 to september 16. Exams for all subjects will be held between 9:40 AM to 12:30 PM. There would also be a break of 20 minutes included in this duration.
