With the initiative for enablingv remote learning for school students, Maharashtra governmnet has launched Google Classroom. Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray, who is the Chief Minister of Maharashtra has stated about the initivate. With this initiative, Maharashtra has become the first state in nation who has taken steps and implemented the projecct of online learning.

At the launch, Ajit Pawar who is the Deputy Chief Minister and Varsha Gaikwad who is the Minister of School Education was  present  along with the Chief Minister.

CM Uddhav Thackeray, while speaking at the launch,  stated that “Education has always been one of the primary concern. The State Government’s main objective has always been on how and when education, rather than schools, could be started again after the enforced pause on school education caused by the pandemic.” Adding more on to his statement, he has requested all the younger generation to use emerging technology in other sectors as well.

Meanwhile last week, from classes 1-12 up to 25 percent, there has been reduction in the syllabus by Maharashtra government.  This step was taken after the syllabus was reduced by CBSE and ICSE boards followed by many state Boards. If we look upon the reports, the department has informed that from classes 1 to 10, the syllabus of almost 101 subjects would be reduced to ensure the statistics reaches to 25 %.
