The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal will be celebrating a decade of European studies with the two-day academic meet titled ‘India EU Engagements: A Decade in Reflection’ starting from December 6, 2019. Bhaswati Mukherjee, former Ambassador of the Netherland will be the keynote speaker.
The conference organized by the Manipal Centre of Europian Studies (MCES) will have experts from European studies in India and foreign countries to ponder on the relations between the two regions with issues like political, social, economic, educational and trade relations. Also, they will map frameworks for the European Studies Academics relation role between India and Europe.
MCES (Manipal Centre of Europian Studies) was founded in 2009 which distinguished itself by being the first premiere centre in India. It is the first and only Master’s European Degree in India that caters to the study of Europe and European Union Institutes.
Within a decade of its foundation, in July 2018, it was awarded the esteemed Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence status, a recognition that strengthened the relationship between the two countries.
