On Monday, Arvind Kejriwal who is the  Chief Minister of Delhi stated that this year in Joint Entrance Examination Mains  around 500 students of schools which is run by the Delhi government have passed. Adding more to his words, further on their achievement he congratulated the students and teachers .

On Friday, night the result for the JEE-Mains was declared.

After being postponed twice in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, from the national capital, in the JEE-Mains exam total of five students  have scored 100 percentile  which was conducted earlier this month .

Chief Minister, Kejriwal tweeted that, “This year in the JEE Mains around 510 students of Delhi Govt Schools have qualified . In last 3 yrs, no of students qualifying JEE mains was – 2020- 510 2019- 473 2018- 350 Congratulations to each student and teachers who have worked hard to get this. Am proud of you. After 98% results, another big achievement of Delhi Govt schools.”

Across the country, at the exam centres, among the scenes which were witnessed are, for candidates arrangement of staggered entry and exit, at the gate sanitisers were provided, distribution of masks and maintaining distance as candidates queued up.

For admission to engineering courses in IITs, NITs and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) for the JEE-Mains exam a total of 8.58 lakh candidates registered, while only 74 per cent of the candidates appeared for the exam.
