Teaching is a noble profession which is the reason Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) is the most preferred degree by 1.73 lakh Indians. Doing a Ph.D. requires intellectual knowledge of a particular subject where they research and write a thesis for almost 5 years. Keeping that in mind, Madhya Pradesh varsity has decided to introduce an easier way of doing research and submitting them.
Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University has introduced the idea of submitting their Ph.D. PDF online through ‘Digital Thesis’ rather than the traditional format. The idea will help save money for postgraduate and doctorate students as now they can submit their thesis in PDF format, not in the paper.
It is the first university in the state to introduce such a concept for saving money and paper. The digital concept will withdraw unnecessary space paper take and how they get damaged from moisture and termites.
Dr.Manohar Bhandari, Associate of Physiology Department of the university has recommended the concept. He said, “Thousands of trees will be saved if the digital thesis could be started instead of paper thesis in all higher education institutions of the country. Besides, this will save money worth crores being paid by the researchers and students for preparing the paper thesis.”
The university official said it will help 1200 students of the state.
