The Maharaja Sayajirao University Alumni, who is based in the United States of America (USA), donated $10,000 for restoring Univerity’s infrastructure and heritage, to provide scholarships to the deserving candidates, and to facilitate the research projects that are needed to be conducted in the University.

A foundation named the MSU Alumni Foundation was established in January 2018 to facilitate Alumni all across the United States of America (USA) for raising funds for the University. The Foundation is consulted under Dr. Jagat Kamdar, who studied into the batch of 1963 in the Faculty of Technology and Engineering. The Foundation consists of 300 members who are Alumni of MS University based in the USA, “The entire education system is in a way funded by the UGC. There are a lot of things which need to be done but are left undone. So, we provide whatever extra we can for the welfare of the students,” said Kamdar, who is now retired.

The University decided to utilize the donation in such a way that $5000 will be allocated to establish scholarships for deserving candidates in the upcoming academic year.
