Mumbai colleges have reached out to third-party service providers for the conduct of online exams after Supreme Court’s verdict to conduct final year exams 2020 by end of September. To deliver the test, in the state many autonomous colleges are considering using Google forms .

A day after the final year exam format was released by the Mumbai University, the state colleges have rushed to the service providers. To evaluate students in a certifying exam, the viability of using objective-based online tests has been questioned by the Academicians. Neel Helekar, who is a management council member said, while speaking to TOI stated that “This is the first time when we shall be using  the cluster system and we have decided to decentralize the final-year university exams .”

Further for every subject the management council has come up with the decision of having a centralized question bank where all questions of a similar level of difficulty would be prepared. Moreover, in the state to supervise exams some autonomous colleges are planning to use online-proctoring software.

Maharashtra Students Union, MASU have also demanded a simplified manner of final year exams. To the Chief Minister of the state, a letter of suggestion and recommendations  has been written by the student union.

As per the letter, the exams shall be held online or in hybrid mode where question papers shall be sent through  e-mail or WhatsApp and at home students can easily solve them. Up to the month of March, syllabus shall be taken into consideration .
