On June 23, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Under Graduates (NEET-UG) 2017 results and have been welcomed well with the anxious aspirants.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was conducted on May 7 for admission into approximately 65,170 seats of MBBS and nearly 25,730 BDS courses. According to the information available on MCI & DCI websites, about 470 medical colleges and 308 Dental colleges will take part in the official admission process.

Like every year, this year too female candidates have outnumbered male aspirants. of the total number of students selected, around 3,45,313 were female students while only 2,66,221 were male candidates.

A young boy from Punjab, Navdeep Singh, has secured All India Rank I with 697 marks and 99.999908  percentile. He is followed by Archit Gupta at AIR II with 695 marks and 99.999725 percentile and to secure AIR III is Manish Mulchandani Male. Both AIR II and AIR III are from Madhya Pradesh.

NEET-UG 2017: Cut-offs

To make through to get qualified for studying medical science in any approved college, private, government or semi-government, one has to clear the cut-off.

Cut-off for general category was 131, being the highest. The candidates from general category performed very well occupying much seats.

NEET-UG 2017: All India Quota

After the decleration of CBSE NEET 2017 results yesterday, the admissions of students to various colleges will be done considering these categories:

  • All India Quota Seats
  • State Government Quota Seats
  • Management/NRI Quota Seats/Dental Colleges Seats
  • Central Pool Quota

NEET-UG 2017: Counselling

The qualified aspirants are supposed to complete further formalities with counselling authorities viz Director General of Medical Services, Medical Education Directorate of States etc. for admission to MBBS/BDS courses. According to the information available on Medical Council of India & Dental Council of India websites, about 470 medical colleges and 308 Dental colleges will take part in the official admission process.
