The list of Andhra Pradesh rankers of NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) has been released and the qualified candidates can check their names on the official website – ntruhs.ap.nic.in. The list was declared by Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas of the Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) on Sunday.

Andhra Pradesh contributed 32,392 qualified candidates and Telangana contributed with 27,075 of the total 6 lakh-plus nation-wide qualified aspirants of NEET’17. Narreddy Manvitha secured the first position from the state with 685 marks off the total 700 and bagged AIR14.

According to The Hindu, the first merit list will be posted once the submission of online application in response to the university notification and verification of the original certificates is done.

In order to get an equal quota in other states, Andhra Pradesh needs to contribute at least 15% of the total percentage of seats for the MBBS and BDS courses. Though, until the Presidential Order is amended, both the states can not participate in the national pool.

The All India Quota counselling of NEET 2017 will be conducted to distribute about 13,000 MBBS and BDS seats. States will be conducting separate two-round counselling process for admission to state quota seats in government and private colleges.
