As of July 24, The National Institute of Open Schooling has formally declared the results of Class 10 and 12 students who were enrolled in the academic session 2020-21.

Students can access their results or scorecards on the official website of NIOS, http://results.nios.ac.in. The results are also available on the website of Digilocker by Indian government, that is http://digilocker.gov.in.

As per the stats presented by NIOS, 90.64% students have qualified in the Class 10 or secondary certificate exams this year. While the total number of students registered for the same were more then 1.18 Lakh.

similarly, 79.21% students have passed the Class 12 or senior secondary certificate exam out of the total 1.69 lakh students enrolled in this year for Class 12 of open schooling.

The NIOS has marked that a total of 1.34 lakh learners from the senior secondary courses and 1.07 Lakh learners from the secondary courses have been certified in the respective exams.

Talking about the gender-wise distribution in results, the female students have shown slight better performance with a success rate of 90.97% then the male students, with 90.45% success rate, in Class 10 exams.

While an opposite trend is seen in the results of Class 12 where 80.45% male students have qualified the exams which is comparatively higher then the 76.29% female students who have cleared the exams.

It must be noted that the NIOS public exams which were scheduled to be held in June 2021 were cancelled due to the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown restrictions imposed in several states across the country.

In absence of the exams, the Results of Class 10 and 12 students were prepared on the basis of any alternate evaluation criteria devised by the NIOS.

This evaluation criteria was mainly based on the performance of student in past years along with scores of mid-term exams, unit tests and internal assessments conducted throughout this year.

Steps to check NIOS Class 10 and 12 Results for 2021;

  1. Visit the official website of NIOS as mentioned above.
  2. Click on the option for “Public Examinations Result”
  3. On the new page, Enter your enrollment number and Captcha verification code in the designated sections.
  4. Your detailed result will appear on the screen.
  5. Download and Save your scorecard for any future references.
