NEET, JEE Main 2020 shall not witness any postponing. Amit Khare who is the Secretary, Ministry of Education has confirmed that the entrance examinations cannot be postponed. This has dashed the hopes of thousands of students. Referring to the order of Supreme Court, he has stated that the SC was crystal clear in the order and no further shall the examinations be postponed. A clarification confirming the same, has also been released by the National Testing Agency, NTA stating that the examination cannot be postponed.

As per the letter tweeted by NTA, the agency has shared Supreme Court’s order. NTA has also put forward the point that as per the request the examination centres were changed for students. Apart from this, proper guidelines have been made to ensure the safety of the students.

The plea was presented to the Supreme Court for postponing JEE and NEET 2020 examinations. 3 other petitions had been also filed, asking the Supreme Court to ensure that the examinations were not postponed. Earlier in the day, a letter was written by Dr. Subramaniam Swamy  to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking him to ask the Education ministry to postpone the exams of NEET, JEE Main 2020. He also raised that the safety of students is the major concern.
