CBSE 10th,12th Exams Fee Hike based on 'No profit, No loss' Principle : HRD Minister

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Human Resource Development Minister made an announcement regarding the dates for JEE Main and NEET exams. The students would be appearing for JEE Main from July 18 to July 23, on the other hand medical entrance test will be conducted on July 26.

JEE advanced can be held in the month of exams, the dates have yet not been finalized.

The syllabus for JEE Main and NEET 2021 have been curtailed, the students can take the help of any digital modes such as SWAYAM or Diksha to start off and prepare well for their entrance exams.

Pokhriyal also said that the area with low connectivity areas need not worry as content will be telecast with the help of  SWAYAM Prabha TV.

The exam conducting body, National Testing Agency said that over 9 lakh students have registered to appear for JEE Main and over 15.93 lakh have applied for NEET 2020.

Pokhriyal also said that the dates for the examinations off CBSE class 10 and 12 exams will be announced soon.

In his last live interaction with parents, the minister had announced to hold a meeting with the education ministers of state. It was decided in the meeting that evaluation of answer sheets during lockdown for state and central boards will start soon to curb further delay of the academic year. Among other major decisions taken in the meeting was to use the Samagra Siksha balance of the previous year which is around Rs 6,200 crore, while an ad-hoc grant of Rs 4,450 crore is being issued for the first quarter.
