Jee main

Due to the surge in nationwide COVID-19 cases, the National testing Agency has again postponed the JEE mains exams to be held in may. Earlier, the program scheduled in april for the same was also postponed and now both of the april and may sessions will be rescheduled subsequently. The exam was to be held in 2 sessions i.e., from april 27 to 30 and may 24 to 28. The decision has been taken in view of rising corona virus cases in the country. The registration for the may session will be announced at a later stage.

The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ made the announcement via twitter. He wrote, “Looking at the present situation of COVID-19 and keeping students safety in mind, JEE (Main) – May 2021 session has been postponed. Students are advised to keep visiting the official website of NTA for further updates.”

The decision to defer the entrance exam comes after CBSE, CISCE and state boards decided to postpone the examinations scheduled in the months of April and May.

The Agency is organising the JEE Main 2021 in four sessions this year. Two of these sessions have already been completed in February (session 1) and March (session 2). While the rest of the two sessions, session 3 and 4 are yet to be organised.
