Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSEO) declared class 10th result 2019 on May 21st on its official website. The students, who haven’t checked their results yet can visit the site bseodisha.nic.in and check their results.

Steps to check the result

  1. Visit the official website (link provided above)
  2. Click on ‘Results’ appearing in colorful bold letters on website
  3. The ‘Odisha Examination Results’ window will get open
  4. Enter the required credentials (Roll No. and Date of Birth)
  5. Click on submit
  6. Get the result
  7. Download if required

The overall pass percentage this year remained at 70.78% as compared to last year, which was 76.23%.

289 schools across the Odisha state secured 100% pass percentage. Though, 82 schools failed to get the passing percentage and secured 0 percentile. If compared to last year to the schools, who secured 0 passing percentage in Odisha, the number was 36.

The passing percentage in Odisha this year clearly shows that the overall performance decreased by 5% and remained poor.

Though Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated all the students for achieving a good result, he tweeted:

The reason behind the poor performance detected due to heavy security measures taken. The Board Secretary told NDTV “Strict measures were taken during the exam this year. Stern action was taken against malpractices. 1,124 cases of malpractices were detected at exam centres.

The exam this year was conducted from Feb 23rd-March 8th. Nearly 5.23 lakh students appeared in the class 10th Odisha examination this year.

The Odisha government is to provide cash prize of Rs 5,000 to the top 10 students and scholarship is to be provided to around 40,000 students under Mukhyamantri Medhabruti Puraskar Yojna.
