In one of the Examination Centers in Malkangiri, Odisha, where the Mathematics matriculate exam was conducted on March 2, 2019, it was found out that 108 Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets have been missing from the school.

After finding that out, the SSD High School at Padia filed a complaint of the missing OMR Sheets at Padia Police Station.

Malkangiri Superintendent of Police Jagmohan Meena said that a team of officers has been released to the school for conducting an investigation for the matter, “Investigation is in progress to ascertain the circumstances in which the OMR sheets went missing,” he said.

The Board of Secondary Education, who is responsible for conducting the matriculation exams in the state, and the district administration have also been informed of the issue.

Malkangiri sub-collector Rameswar Pradhan and other senior officials have approached the school already in order to look deep into the matter.

After a day of the investigation, the pictures of Mathematics question paper were found to be circulated around Social media on Saturday, for which three teachers from the Kalahandi district were suspended.

Earlier the matriculate examination papers of Odia, Hindi, and English subjects were found to be circulated on Social Media.

The Matriculate exams began on February 22 and will continue to last till March 8, 2019.

Looking at the increasing cases of paper leak, The BSE was bound to suspend four examination center superintendents and 10 more from the administration responsible for the leak.
